چکیده

Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) is a systematic method to evaluate the actual building performance against theoretical design intents after has been occupied for some time, understand how performing and capture lessons learned. The POE offers an opportunity investigate buildings' based upon occupants' satisfaction levels in aspects of overall design, indoor environmental quality, thermal comfort, etc. However, as key part POE, occupant assessment (OSA) missing link (BPE) domain, there not OSA. Moreover, it time-consuming error-prone conduct OSA manually. This paper presents from end-user's perspective semantic post-occupancy ontology (POEontology) facilitate buildings, with ultimate aim optimizing operation guidelines, improving use experience quality well-being. An ontology-based knowledge model developed fragmented benchmarking rules encoded Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) enable automatic rule-based rating reasoning. also enables effective OSA-related retrieving sharing, promotes its implementation domain. A field study conducted Building Use Study (BUS) methodology validate proposed framework.

OAM: An Ontology Application Management Framework for Simplifying Ontology-Based Semantic Web Application Development

Although the Semantic Web data standards are established, ontology-based applications built on the standards are relatively limited. This is partly due to high learning curve and e®orts demanded in building ontology-based Semantic Web applications. In this paper, we describe an ontology application management (OAM) framework that aims to simplify creation and adoption of ontology-based applicat...

Building an Ontology-Based Framework for Tourism Recommendation Services

The tourism product has an intangible nature in that customers cannot physically evaluate the services on offer until practically experienced. This makes having access to credible and authentic information about tourism products before the actual experience very valuable. An Ontology being a formal, explicit specification of concepts of a domain provides a viable platform for the development of...

An Ontology-Based Semantic Cooperation Framework for Business Processes

Nowadays many functions within intraand interenterprises have been encapsulated into Web services to enable platform independent integration and interoperation. To realize the enterprise applications, most Web services are composed as workflows based on Business Process Execute Language (BPEL). However, the absence of semantic information in processes reduces the efficiency of interoperation an...

An Ontology-Based Extraction Framework for a Semantic Web Application

The Semantic Web vision is rapidly becoming a mainstream reality, but obstacles remain in the way. A major challenge is the adoption of practical Semantic Web applications and the production of vast stores of ubiquitous meta-data which is needed to allow robust inference engines to attain the goals of machine readability of web documents. The authors propose the Semantic Web Applications (SEMWA...
